The Holland Computing Center now has three optional courses available.

These courses are only available to those within the University of Nebraska system at this time.

HCC Group Owner Important Information

This includes information about HCC policies, account creation, an overview of data storage covering details about the purge policy on $WORK, support, training, and acknowledgment credits.

Introduction to Holland Computing Center Resources

This is a longer course providing an introduction to using HCC’s Swan supercomputer including basic data management, software usage, submitting jobs, reviewing jobs, and acknowledgment credits. This course is recommended for those new to using HCC resources, and anyone wanting to learn more about HCC

Are you interested in number crunching, high-speed transfers or large-scale storage? Register now to attend the Holland Computing Center (HCC) Virtual Fall Kickstart October 19-23 from 10 AM to 12 PM held virtually via Zoom. This workshop series will feature hands-on experience on how to access and use HCC’s powerful computing resources to scale up your own research.

Get an HCC account, with access to thousands of compute cores and petabytes of storage
Learn how to use HCC’s compute clusters, freeing up your workstation or laptop for more immediate tasks
Learn how to automate tasks and use version control in your projects
Get an introduction to cloud computing with HCC’s Cloud, Anvil
Get trained to transfer data at high speed via a simple web interface
Learn about the extended resources available to HCC users through the Open Science Grid

Participants will need to bring a laptop and sign up for an HCC account prior to the event.

Registration is free, but limited.

When: October 19th - 23rd, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
