Dear HCC User Community,

The standalone JupyterHub/Sandstone interfaces available via the web at crane.unl.edu and rhino.unl.edu will be deprecated and removed following the conclusion of the Fall Semester in late December. Current and future Jupyter notebooks will continue to be available via Open OnDemand for both Crane and Rhino.

HCC has recently made the Open OnDemand portal available for both Crane and Rhino. Open OnDemand is an NSF-funded open-source HPC portal, developed by the Ohio Supercomputing Center. It provides a superset of features compared to the standalone JupyterHub/Sandstone interfaces. Because of this, HCC will no longer maintain the latter, and instead will solely support Open OnDemand following the conclusion of the Fall Semester. We encourage those using the standalone interfaces to begin transitioning in the near future to avoid any potential interruptions in work.
